About Us
Bookie’s Babes originally came to be in Stanmore when Sarah first set up as an Ofsted registered childminder. She ran this very successfully from home for 3 years and then in 2015 Sarah moved Bookie’s Babes out of home and into new premises and Bookie’s Babes nursery was founded at Edgware Reform Synagogue.
Our fantastic reputation precedes us and we have consistently grown in numbers over the years. For 6 years Bookie’s Babes has been fully operational and Sarah and her manager and team have been caring for children daily between the ages of 6 months to 2 and a half years +.

Our exciting chapter continues at Bookie’s Babes as our premises has expanded to accommodate a brand new sleep room and changing facilities, a baby room (from 3months – 18months) and a room for our toddlers (18months- 2 and a half years +) This will allow us eventually to double in capacity whilst adhering to strict ratios in each of our rooms but at the same time we will ensure we still maintain our home from home, nurturing environment.
Meet The Team
Nursery Owner- Sarah Bookbinder
Sarah Bookbinder has always had a passion for teaching children and was further inspired to initially set up as a childminder after having her two children. Sarah initially did her Cache level 2 in childcare and then her Cache 3 qualification in "Understanding how to set up a homebased childcare service". Sarah is not just the owner of Bookie’s Babes, she is also very much involved in the day to day running of the nursery and her communication with parents is where she excels the most. Sarah has made Bookie’s Babes such a success with the help of a very strong team and she also works very closely alongside her fantastic manager. Sarah will always strive to deliver exceptional service to both children and parents. Herself, Heena and the team are so excited to take Bookie’s Babes to the next level and will keep developing the nursery even further for many years to come to ensure it runs the best way it possibly can.
Nursery Manager-Heena
Heena will be our new manager of Bookie’s Babes. She is highly experienced. She is level 3 qualified in child care and has over 10 years experience working within a nursery setting. She has previously worked in a Montessori nursery and has 4 years of deputy and management experience. She is an extremely passionate individual and is always willing to go the extra mile to improve and develop the care for children, parents and staff.
Qualified nursery practitioners
We are extremely proud of our very dedicated nursery team. Each member of our nursery staff is highly skilled in all areas of childcare and demonstrates a fantastic ability to care for babies and young children.
As well as being qualified to a high level, all our DBS checked nursery staff undertake continuous in-house and external training.
All staff are trained to have key worker children and as key workers they work alongside parents and carers to ensure that there is continuity of care for the child thus supporting the child's emotional well-being.
