Government-Funded Childcare at Bookie’s Babes
At Bookie’s Babes, we are offer government-funded childcare, with funded hours to provide consistent support for working families.
Please note: We close for all Bank Holidays, one week in August, and between Christmas and New Year.
Current Funding Available
• 30 hours per week for eligible working parents of children aged 9 months to 3 years
Georgia’s Deli Meals are available or packed lunch can also be supplied.
Caterpillar Music session are every Tuesday and this is optional.
-Breakfast is given from 7:45-8:30am but no later than this time.
-A morning session can start no later than 9am.
Funding is available from the term after your child turns 9 months
We offer 30 hours of stretched funding over 49 weeks, this allows parents to access 24 hours of funding a week.
If you are doing FULL DAY sessions funded hours will cover 4 X 6 hourly sessions from 8:30am-2:30pm. Please note the funding will be offered from Monday to Thursday. Friday does not count as a funding day and will be charged at the normal rate
Please note funding will only be offered the term after your child turns 9 months.
Eligibility & Reconfirmation

• Once approved, you’ll need to reconfirm your eligibility every 3 months to continue receiving funding
Childcare Vouchers
We accept Childcare Vouchers from employers. These vouchers:
• Are non-taxable and exempt from National Insurance contributions
• Offer savings for both parents (if both are employed and registered)
• Can be used towards your child’s nursery fees if you are already signed up through your employer
Tax-Free Childcare
Our nursery is also registered to accept payments from Tax-Free Childcare accounts. This government scheme:
• Is a more accessible alternative to the voucher scheme
• Provides tax-efficient savings on nursery fees
• Can be used alongside your funding
